Pyrethrums roseum (Hedychridium roseum Rossi ) or Chrysanthemum coccineum, Pyrethrum carneum, Persian chrysanthemum are native to Caucasus mountains. Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium, or Dalmatian Pyrethrums originates from the Balkan area. All the three kinds of Pyrethrums contain essential oil, but their main compounds known as pyrethrins and cinerins, are insecticide.
